The Chequers is situated in the south Leicestershire village of Swinford, approximately 1.2 miles from junction 19 of the M1 on its interchange with the M6 and A14. The pub is within 1 mile of the famous Stanford Hall and its adjacent caravan park. The Chequers was voted as Leicestershires best pub of 2006 by the listeners of Leicester Sound and due to its geographical location makes an ideal meeting point. Being a traditional village public house we cater for all ages and the pub a large garden with children's play equipment and toddler facilities. We also have traditional pub games including table skittles, dominoes and card games of crib and solo. |
